Don’t Drink … Play!

If you enjoy a beverage occasionally, keep your money at home if you are going to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Leave your purse, your billfold, and leave all money, plastic credit and checkbooks back at the hotel. Grab whatever money you intend to spend on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to throw away and keep the remainder behind.

Pessimistic? Not at all. Realistic more like. You might experience a profit following a inebriated night out with your acquaintances and be lucky enough to hit a marathon toss at a hot craps game. Hang on to that account because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually consume alcohol and gamble. The two just do not mix.

Keeping your moola at home is a little dramatic, but defensive measures for dramatic behavior is a requirement. If you gamble to win, then do not drink alcohol and bet. If you can afford to throw aside your $$$$ without a worry, then drink all the complimentary booze you can handle, but don’t pack plastic credit and checks to toss into the mix of following losses after your bombed brain loses everything!

Allow me to carry this a single step more. Don’t drink alcohol and then go on the net to bet in your favorite casino either. I enjoy a drink from the coziness of my house, but seeing that I’m linked up through Neteller, Firepay and have charge cards in close proximity, I can not drink and bet.

What’s the reason? Although I don’t drink alcohol to excess, once I consume alcohol, it’s certainly sufficient to cloud my common sense. I wager, so I don’t drink when wagering. If you are a drinker, don’t gamble when you do. Both make for a dangerous, and expensive, cocktail.
