Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling hall gaming is prohibited. Eight gambling dens are based in a generally small location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in a prime area, a 3 to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing capital gained from the gambling halls ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over 12.5 million, and there are a number of restrictions requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; still, investment sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 17:00, and although visas are allegedly required to cross, there are methods around this, as is accurate of most border crossings.
The initial Cambodia gambling halls opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in 1998, leaving only a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship casino, contains one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 60 tables. The Naga gambling hall is open all hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, four tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. A total of one hundred and fifty slots and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machines and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machines and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the familiar gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around vacation and hotel complex that highlights numerous conveniences aside from the gambling den, which houses ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and 88 table games.
