Cambodia Casinos

There is a fascinating history to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which gambling hall gambling is not legal. Eight casinos are based in a relatively tiny space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent spot, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gambling centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai laborers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; however, investment sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 5:00 p.m., and even though visas are apparently required to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is real of most border crossings.
The original Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked bateau gambling hall, contains 150 slots and sixty gaming tables. The Naga river boat never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and five tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slot machines and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven punto banco (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and sixty six of the familiar tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around vacation and hotel complex that features many luxuries accompanying the gambling den, which provides ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and eighty eight table games.
